Charles Stroud's Personal Testimony

I grew up in a Christian home. My father was a Wesleyan pastor in our district.

I attended the very first camp meeting at Orleans campgrounds.

At a very early age, my parents taught me the importance of giving my heart to the Lord and living a Christian life. I became a Christian at about the age of 6. As I grew up, there were times when I drifted to the Lord. The Holy Spirit was always faithful to lead me back. I was saved and sanctified as a young adult.

Living in a parsonage during the time when revivals lasted for two weeks, we had some of the finest evangelists in the holiness movement as guests in our home. They, no doubt, have impacted me in so many ways. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my Christian parents and other Christian role models who cared enough about me to share their wisdom of the Lord with me.

I have been the pastor of 3 churches in our district. The Lord has given me the opportunity to minister to some of the finest people in our district.

Linda is my wife of 42 years. She has been a wonderful supporter and encourager of my ministry. We have 4 children and 13 grandchildren.

We have been truly blessed.
